A FEW THINGS TO KNOW

Small questions.
Clear answers.

Do I need an account?

No. You pay with your email address and receive a license key. Paste the key into Submaker. There’s no password and nothing to sign in to.

How are credits used?

One credit is one minute of live subtitles and translation. Starting uses the first credit, then one more for each minute subtitles run. Pausing or stopping prevents further minute charges; a paid minute continues to elapse while paused. Submaker shows your balance in the toolbar popup and when you hover over the subtitles.

Can I buy more credits later?

Yes. Each purchase comes with its own key. Add it in Submaker and the credits add to your balance. Older keys are used first. Credits never expire.

How do I pay?

By card, or with Apple Pay or Google Pay where your device supports them. Polar processes the payment as merchant of record and handles sales tax or VAT. Submaker never sees your card details.

Does Submaker use my microphone?

No. The extension captures audio from the browser tab you select, after you start subtitles.

Which languages can I use?

Choose the subtitle language that works for you, and display the original text alongside the translation. Try Japanese to English, Indonesian, Thai or Russian in the preview above.

Where does the audio go?

When you start subtitles, the selected tab’s audio is sent directly to Google Gemini or OpenAI for live transcription. Subtitle text goes through Submaker’s gateway to the selected provider for translation. The service may switch providers when necessary. You can stop capture at any time. Read about privacy.
